Jungle Pimpernel

Jungle Pimpernel is the nickname of mr. Dr. Vic de Bruijn and the name of the book that was written by Anthony van Kampen.
As a pioneer, Vic alias Jungle Pimpernel, was stationed in the jungle of Netherlands New Guinea which is now known as Irian Jaya far before WWII.
He mingled himself between the headhunting tribes and the 800 languages spoken on the island of New Guinea and tried to stop the tribes from beheading eachother.
Officialy these tribes were Dutch citizens and had to stick to the law. I rather ironical postition.
